Early Life and Club Career

Samir Saad Mohamed Abdel-Fadil is an Egyptian footballer who plays as a defender for Al Ahly and the Egyptian national team. Born and raised in Cairo, he began his football career with Al Ahly, his hometown club. In 2009, he made his debut for the senior team in the Egyptian Premier League, winning the championship in his first season.

To gain more playing time, Saad went on loan to Arab Contractors in 2010 and Al Masry in 2011. Upon his return, he established himself as a regular starter for Al Ahly.

International Career

Saad has represented Egypt at various youth levels. In 2009, he participated in the FIFA U-20 World Cup on home soil, playing in matches against Trinidad and Tobago, Paraguay, and Italy. Three years later, he was part of the Egyptian squad at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, featuring in games against Japan and Belarus.

He made his senior international debut for Egypt in 2014 in an African Cup of Nations qualifier against Botswana. In 2017, he was a member of the team that finished as runners-up in the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon, playing in the match against Morocco.
