Biography of Sergey Nezhinsky
Sergey Nezhinsky is a writer, poet, essayist, and philosopher. He is a member of the South Russian Union of Writers, the Congress of Writers of Ukraine, and the Interregional Union of Writers of Ukraine. He is also the founder and chief processor of the International Association of Creative Intelligentsia. Nezhinsky is a laureate of Ukrainian and international literary awards. He is the author of articles, essays, treatises, poems, and aphorisms.
Early Life and Education
Sergey Nezhinsky was born on August 10, 1980, in Odessa, Ukraine. Later, he moved to a small town called Yuzhny, which is a satellite of Odessa. However, the author considers the year 2002 as the true date of his birth, as it marks the beginning of his creative journey.
From an early age, Nezhinsky explored the field of visual arts. He created sculptures from metal using electric welding techniques, for which he completed welding courses at Odessa Vocational School No. 8. He also drew with charcoal, nitro paint, and sauce, incorporating wire, tree branches, gears, ropes, and various mechanical parts into his paintings and conceptual objects. He portrayed imprints of car tire treads on canvas, made appliqués from plants and mechanical parts, and painted portraits.
Literary Career
In 2001, Nezhinsky showed the first signs of literary talent. He wrote notes and short prose, which later led him to experimental poetry. In his poetic texts, he used numbers to replace syllables in words. He wrote poems on musical staffs, replacing words and syllables with notes that merged into melodies. He incorporated both his original compositions and well-known musical motifs. His early work also included figurative poems in the form of triangles and six-pointed stars, as well as visual poetry. During this time, he was fascinated by futurism, suggestive poetry, surrealism, suprematism, kinetic art, courtly mannerism, and hermetic philosophy. The works of the "silver age" figures became his spiritual tuning fork.
In 2002, Nezhinsky enrolled in the Mechnikov National University of Odessa, majoring in history. Around the same time, his works began to be published in books and periodicals.
In the summer of 2002, he became a member of the creative circle "Adjalyk" in Yuzhny and the South Russian Union of Writers in Odessa. In 2003, he received a literature award of the 1st degree at an arts festival.
Since then, Nezhinsky has experienced significant external and internal creative growth. He actively participates in independent and collective cultural events with the literary studio "Adjalyk" and the South Russian Union of Writers. He performs at literary museums, the Rerikh House-Museum, and the Museum of Contemporary Art. He translates Ukrainian poetry into Russian and vice versa, including the works of Evgeniy Malanyuk and Igor Rymaruk. His own poems are translated into Ukrainian.
His works have been published in Ukraine, Russia, and beyond. He is developing a television project called "Paragraph X" dedicated to contemporary art. Nezhinsky defines his creativity as "stihobionika" and has developed and formulated the basic principles of this artistic direction. He has also developed a theory on the origin of material objects and the foundations of telescopic poetry.
In 2007, he became a member of the Congress of Writers of Ukraine, and in 2008, he joined the Interregional Union of Writers of Ukraine. He has been a two-time laureate of the Silver Arrow International Literary Prize in 2008 and 2009 in the categories of "Silver Voice" and "Civil Lyrics." In mid-2009, he founded the International Association of Creative Intelligentsia, aiming to unite the best creative potentials under its wing. He was also shortlisted for the First International Literary Festival "Slavic Traditions - 2009."
At the end of 2009, Nezhinsky received the international literary prize named after Peter Vegin. In 2009-2010, he worked on several projects aimed at the overall development of culture, including the development of a city park with a literary and musical theme, the creation of an international union of creative professionals, the organization of the "Literature Symptom" poetry competition, and collaboration with the South Russian Union of Writers on the international summer arts festival "Megacity." He is also preparing for the release of the creative project "EXHIBITIONISM," which includes video poetry, audio poems, flash books designed in the style of bukart, visualizations of his works, a brochure with the poet's verses, author's graphics, and his photographs. Additionally, a fully illustrated book of poems and aphorisms titled "Thursday of Existence" is in the works.
