Early Life and Education

Sylyan Avramovski was born in 1961. He graduated from the University of St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje in 1983 with a degree in Security Studies.

Career in the Ministry of Internal Affairs

After graduating, Avramovski joined the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) in various capacities. In June 2004, he was appointed Minister of Internal Affairs in the government of Hari Kostov. He held this position until December 2004.

Director of the Security and Counterintelligence Directorate

Following his tenure as Minister of Internal Affairs, Avramovski was appointed Director of the Security and Counterintelligence Directorate (SCID) within the MIA. He served in this role until 2006.

Deputy Director of the Security and Counterintelligence Directorate

Currently, Sylyan Avramovski serves as Deputy Director of the Security and Counterintelligence Directorate of the Republic of Macedonia.
