Early Career and Club Accomplishments

Temur Juraev, an Uzbekistani goalkeeper, rose through the ranks of Tashkent's Pakhtakor, where he began playing for the youth team in 2002. A brief loan spell at Kyzylkum in 2003 preceded Juraev's elevation to Pakhtakor's first team in 2004, where he remained a mainstay until 2014.

During his decade-long tenure at Pakhtakor, Juraev played in 80 matches across Uzbekistan's top flight, the Uzbekistan Cup, and the AFC Champions League. He played a vital role in the club's five Uzbekistani Championship titles, three runner-up finishes, and one third-place result. Additionally, he won the Uzbekistan Cup six times and helped Pakhtakor claim the Commonwealth of Independent States Cup in 2007 and finish as runners-up in 2006. He also contributed to Pakhtakor's semi-final appearance in the 2004 AFC Champions League.

After playing for Lokomotiv Tashkent in 2014, Juraev spent a year with Shurtan in 2015 before returning to Pakhtakor in 2016 for a short stint. He played for Dynamo Samarkand in 2017, making 15 appearances.

National Team Career

Juraev was first called up to the Uzbekistan national team in 2006. He made his debut in a 4-0 away victory against Bangladesh in the 2007 AFC Asian Cup qualification. Juraev played his second international match in 2008 in a 3-0 win over Singapore during the 2010 FIFA World Cup qualification. His third appearance came against Bosnia and Herzegovina in a friendly in 2009.

Juraev's fourth cap for Uzbekistan came in an away qualifier against Malaysia in 2009, which Uzbekistan won 3-1. He played in a friendly against Armenia in 2010, which Armenia won 3-1. Notably, Juraev participated in the 2011 AFC Asian Cup in Qatar, where Uzbekistan reached the semi-finals and finished fourth.

In the quarter-final against Jordan, Juraev came on as a substitute after starter Ignatiy Nesterov suffered an injury. Juraev kept a clean sheet in the remaining minutes, helping Uzbekistan advance to the semi-finals for the first time in the nation's history. However, in the semi-final against Australia, Juraev conceded six goals, leading to Uzbekistan's 6-0 defeat.

Despite the disappointment of that match, Juraev went on to represent Uzbekistan in the 2010 Asian Games, where the Olympic team reached the quarter-finals.
