Early Life and Education

Yulia Svyrydenko was born on December 25, 1985, in Chernihiv, Ukraine. She graduated with honors from the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics, earning her Master's degree in Antimonopoly Activity Management.

Career in the Private and Public Sectors

In 2008, Svyrydenko embarked on her career in the private sector. From 2015 onwards, she assumed leadership roles within the Chernihiv Regional State Administration, serving as Head of the Department of Economic Development and First Deputy Chairman. In 2018, she acted as Chairman of the Regional State Administration for several months.

Rise in Government

In 2019, Svyrydenko was appointed Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade, and Agriculture. In July 2020, she became the First Deputy Minister. On December 22, 2020, she was named Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine.

Appointment as Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy

On November 3, 2021, the ruling party "Servant of the People" nominated Yulia Svyrydenko as First Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine. She was officially appointed on November 4, 2021.

Recognition and Accolades

In 2023, Svyrydenko was included in TIME's 100 Next, a list of the most influential people shaping the future. She has also received a Certificate of Honor from the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine in 2020.
