Biography of Abdullah II
Abdullah II, the current ruling King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, was born on February 7, 1999, and became the 4th King of Jordan. He is the eldest son of King Hussein I and his second wife, Muna (whose real name is Toni Gardiner), an Englishwoman of British officer descent who converted to Islam and was the Queen of Jordan until their divorce in 1972.

Abdullah II received his military and political education in England and the United States and served as the commander of the Jordanian Special Forces. In 1993, he married Princess Rania, a Palestinian by descent. They have two sons, Hussein and Hashim, and two daughters, Iman and Salma.
On February 7, 1999, Abdullah II ascended to the throne of Jordan following the death of his father. Apart from his royal duties, Abdullah II is also a qualified diver, parachutist, and pilot. He has a passion for rally racing, collects weapons, and is an avid connoisseur of Japanese cuisine.
In 1995, Abdullah II made an appearance in an episodic role in the television series "Star Trek: Voyager," which he is a fan of.
