Education

Serhiy Valentynovych Vakulenko earned his bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering from Zaporozhye Mechanical Engineering Institute named after V. Ya. Chubar. He later pursued a master's degree in Management from the Academy of Management and Information Technologies "ARIU" in Zaporizhzhia. Vakulenko also holds a PhD degree in Economics and Management of Enterprises from the same academy.

Early Career

Vakulenko began his career in 1980 as a locksmith at "Pervomaysky Zavod" in Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. From 1983 to 1986, he worked as a controller for the same company. Subsequently, he became a technician responsible for the maintenance and repair of radio equipment at a public transport company in Berdiansk. In 1995, he left his position to pursue private entrepreneurship.

Leadership in Business

From 1998 to 2012, Vakulenko served as Chairman of the Board of JSC "Berdyansky Raiaghropromsnab" in Berdiansk, Zaporizhzhia Oblast. This position demonstrated his skills in business management and strategic leadership.

Entry into Politics

Vakulenko's involvement in politics began in 2002 when he was elected as a deputy to the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council. In 2006, he was elected as a member of the executive committee of the Berdiansk City Council. He resumed his role as a deputy to the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council from 2010 to 2012.

National Political Representation

In 2012, Vakulenko's political career reached a new milestone when he was elected as a People's Deputy of Ukraine in the VII convocation. He represented Electoral District No. 78 in Zaporizhzhia Oblast as an independent candidate. His unwavering commitment to serve his constituents earned him re-election in November 27, 2014, to the VIII convocation of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Vakulenko remained an independent candidate and continued to represent the same electoral district.

Current Political Activities

Vakulenko is currently a member of the "Will of the People" parliamentary group. He holds the position of Chairman of the Subcommittee on Automobile Roads and Road Management of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Transport. In this role, he plays a pivotal part in shaping policies and initiatives related to infrastructure development and transportation in Ukraine.
