Early Life and Education
Born into a family with a strong academic background, Vladimir Ilyich Eghiazaryan is the son of Gevork Eghiazaryan, a former head of the Department of Industrial Economics at Moscow State University (MSU). Eghiazaryan earned a degree in economics from MSU, where he went on to pursue a PhD.
Business Ventures
In the 1980s, Eghiazaryan established a company specializing in the trade of computers and office equipment. From 1987 to 1989, he served as an engineer at the Moscow Silk Combine named after Sverdlov. He subsequently worked in various managerial roles at organizations such as the "Expocentre" and the Foundation for Socio-Economic Development of the Moscow Region.
Banking Career
From 1993 to May 1997, Eghiazaryan chaired the management board of the Moscow National Bank. He also held leadership positions in several other banking institutions, including the Russian House Credit Bank and Unikombank.
Political Career
In 1999, Eghiazaryan unsuccessfully ran for the State Duma on the United Russia party list. However, he became a Duma member after Stanislav Zhebrovsky declined his mandate. Eghiazaryan joined the Liberal Democratic Party of Russia (LDPR) and served as a deputy in the State Duma.
Other Roles
In addition to his political and business endeavors, Eghiazaryan founded the Prof-Media company in 1997. He also became the president of the National Information Company and received the rank of senior lieutenant in 2000.
