Early Life and Education

Olena Zhuk was born on March 9, 1985, in the city of Zaporizhzhia, Ukraine. She graduated from Zaporizhzhia National Technical University with a degree in International Economic Relations, specializing in foreign economic operations and investment attraction.

Professional Career

Upon completing her studies, Zhuk joined BKW Group, a company owned by Vitaliy Bohovin. She worked in the area of foreign economic operations and investment attraction.

Political Activities

In the 2019 snap parliamentary elections, Zhuk served as a trusted person for Bohovin, who ran for election to the Verkhovna Rada (parliament) in constituency No. 78. Bohovin ultimately lost the election.

From June to December 2020, Zhuk was the head of the patronage service of the chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional State Administration.

Election as Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council

In the October 2020 local elections, Zhuk was elected as a deputy of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council on the Servant of the People party ticket. On December 24, 2020, she was elected Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Oblast Council, with 46 deputies voting in favor of her candidacy.
