Early Life and Career

Serdar Azmoun, an Iranian footballer and forward for the Russian club Rubin Kazan, started his football journey at the age of 9. By 11, he had already made his debut for Iran's under-12 team. At 15, he joined Iran's premier league club Sepahan FC.

Move to Rubin Kazan

In December 2012, Azmoun joined Rubin Kazan at the age of 17, becoming the youngest Iranian player ever to represent a foreign club. He made his official debut for Rubin on July 25, 2013, and scored his first goal on October 6, 2013.

Loan to Rostov

In February 2015, Azmoun was loaned to Rostov for the remainder of the season. He scored his first goal for Rostov on March 16, 2015, and helped the team secure a silver medal in the Russian championship in 2015/16.

Contract Dispute

In the summer of 2016, Azmoun left Rubin without authorization and played in a friendly match for Rostov. The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) ruled in favor of Rostov and Azmoun, allowing him to play for the club in the current season.

International Career

Azmoun is a member of Iran's national team. He made his debut in 2014 and scored his first international goal in 2014 against South Korea. He was part of Iran's squad at the 2015 Asian Cup and scored in the match against Qatar.
