Early Life and Education
Vasyl Ivanovich Petrushnyak was born in 1967 and completed his primary education at the Khust Vocational School No. 10 from 1982 to 1985. Subsequently, he served in the military from 1985 to 1987. Petrushnyak holds a Bachelor's degree in Enterprise Economics (2006) and a Master's degree in Finance (2007) from the National University of "Lviv Polytechnic."
Career
After completing his military service, Petrushnyak embarked on a career in various industries. He worked as a regulator of electro-radiotechnical systems at the Khust Technological Equipment Plant from 1988 to 1989, followed by a stint at the "Sovetskaya Ukraina" collective farm's brick factory from 1989 to 1992. Petrushnyak also held positions as head of the Souvenir Workshop at the agricultural cooperative "Ukraina" from 1996 to 1998, master of forest harvesting at the Intertisa-Import Export Ukraine company from 1999 to 2001, and director of Interkarpaty LLC in Volovets from 2001 to 2005.
In 2005, Petrushnyak founded his company, Tornado LLC, and served as its director. He then operated as a private entrepreneur from 2005 to 2009, before becoming the director of SG-Patriot LLC from 2009 to 2010.
Political Career
Petrushnyak has been actively involved in local politics. He was elected as a deputy of the Khust District Council for the V and VI convocations. He subsequently became the chairman of the Khust District Council's VI convocation from 2010 to 2014. Petrushnyak also served as the chairman of the Khust District organization of the People's Party.
In 2014, Petrushnyak was appointed as the chairman of the Zakarpattia Regional State Administration, a position he held until 2015. Since then, he has been a deputy of the Zakarpattia Oblast Council.
