Early Life and Education
Yuri Mukhin was born in Dnipropetrovsk, Ukraine, in the then-Soviet Union. He graduated from the Dnipropetrovsk Metallurgical Institute in 1973.
Career in Metallurgy
From 1973 to 1995, Mukhin worked at the Yermakovsky Ferroalloy Plant in Kazakhstan, rising through the ranks from engineer to first deputy director. During this time, he authored several inventions and articles in scientific and technical journals.
Entry into Politics
Mukhin did not join the Communist Party of the Soviet Union (CPSU). In the early 1990s, he became politically active, supporting the editorial board of the newspaper "Den" (later "Zavtra"). In 1994, he joined the National Salvation Front-2 (FNS-2) after a split within the original FNS.
Founding of "Duel" Newspaper
In 1995, the Yermakovsky plant was sold to foreign investors. Mukhin clashed with the new owners and was forced to leave Kazakhstan. He relocated to Moscow, where he founded the newspaper "Duel" later that year. He has been its editor-in-chief and regular contributor ever since.
Literary and Historical Works
Mukhin is a prolific author, having written numerous articles, nearly three dozen books, and pamphlets on social and historical topics. He is the founder of the book series "The War and Us" published by Eksmo.
Founder of "Army of the People's Will"
Mukhin is the founder and leader of the "Army of the People's Will" (AVN), a political organization, and the "Deloocracy" Foundation, a think tank.
Controversial Ideas
In his works, Mukhin challenges many accepted truths, proposing alternative theories in history, politics, and philosophy. Some of his ideas have gained traction, while others have been widely criticized. He has developed or supported the following hypotheses:
- The value of labor should be determined by consumers, not supervisors.
- Boris Yeltsin died in 1996 and was replaced by doubles before his official death announcement in 2007.
- Polish officers in Katyn were killed by German occupiers.
- The lack of modern communications in the Red Army was a significant factor in its defeat in 1941.
- Stalin and Beria were murdered, and they opposed mass repressions.
- Stalin aimed to remove the Communist Party from power and transform it into a religious-like organization.
- The order to put troops on high alert before German invasion was given by Stalin on time but was sabotaged by generals.
- Zionists provoke anti-Semitism to facilitate Jewish emigration to Israel.
- Trofim Lysenko's theories on genetics were scientifically valid.
- The Ukrainian "Holodomor" was caused by peasant sabotage.- Intelligence agencies become criminal organizations due to corruption.
- The U.S. never landed on the moon.
- Pre-war military leadership was inadequate, contributing to losses.- God does not exist, but all living beings have a Spirit and humans also have a Soul, which are material and nearly immortal.
- German fighter pilot claims during World War II are exaggerated.
- The Holocaust is questioned, and the collaboration of "Jewish racists" with Nazi Germany is suggested.
